The Lawcast – The First Clash of the Champions Took WWF To School

Welcome back, boys and girls! After a little post-Wrestlemania vacation, the Lawcast is back in a big way, and we’re jumping right back in by covering a show that is near and dear to Steve’s heart: the very first Clash of the Champions!

Famously, this is the show that made Sting a star with an incredible match between he and Ric Flair, but there’s so much more to it than that. Going up against Wrestlemania 4, this was WCW’s shot at revenge and they went for it in a big way. We’ve got promos so bad that it works as an advertisement for scripted promos, we’ve got not one but TWO incredible matches in a single 2 hour show, and we’ve got Tony Schiavone’s mustache keeping us warm and safe in an uncertain time.
