Smackdown GM to Officially Announce AJ Styles’ WWE Championship Opponent for SummerSlam

There is seemingly nothing that can keep AJ Styles down. After finally ridding himself of Shinsuke Nakamura, the “Phenomenal One” picked up another strong victory over Rusev at Extreme Rules this past weekend to retain the WWE Championship. This Tuesday night on Smackdown Live, Styles did it yet again when he faced off against blue-brand newcomer and former NXT Champion, Andrade Cien Almas.

After the bout, Smackdown General Manager Paige announced that next Tuesday night, she would officially announced the challenger to AJ Styles and the WWE Championship for the hottest party of the summer, WWE SummerSlam!

So who do you think should get an opportunity at the gold? Will it be Samoa Joe, who has been mercilessly making Tye Dillinger’s life a living hell over the past few weeks? Could we see a potential rematch with Shinsuke Nakamura, or perhaps an Extreme Rules rematch against the “Bulgarian Brute”, Rusev? There are all kinds of possibilities, but apparently we won’t find out until next Tuesday night on Smackdown Live.

Also announced for next week’s show is Becky Lynch vs. Carmella in a non-title match, where if the Irish Lasskicker is victorious, she will earn a championship opportunity at SummerSlam as well!
