Rennes in advanced discussions with Afonso Figueiredo

Rennes are hoping to complete the signing of full-back Afonso Figueiredo on a free transfer in the coming days.

Although the Ligue 1 side a well-placed within the race, Afonso Figueiredo has multiple suitors and a deal remains far from certain at the time of writing.

Figueiredo is a free agent with his contract expiring with Boavista in seven days time.

The 23 year old is in advanced discussions with Rennes, who have offered the player a four year contract.
