Reigns vs. Miz, Jim Johnston Interview, Singh Brother Injured?

Ever since The Miz returned to WWE a few weeks ago, he has been bloodthirsty for the chance to face Roman Reigns for the Intercontinental Championship. The Miz lost the title to Roman prior to leaving in order to film The Marine 6: Close Quarters. He will finally be getting his rematch for the title on the 25th anniversary of Monday Night Raw event this Monday. Cageside Seats reports that Reigns will likely be losing the title back to The Miz during that show. This makes sense given that Reigns is still heavily rumored to be facing Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania in April. Prepare to see Miz win the title back once again very soon.
Fans were shocked to learn that WWE decided to release their longtime music composer Jim Johnston last year. Johnston worked for the company for decades and produced some of the most legendary entrance themes in the company’s history. Fans were puzzled as to why WWE would suddenly decided to release him, but Johnston addressed that very issue during an interview on the Prime Time with Sean Mooney podcast. “I had a brief conversation with Vince and it was over. All I’ll say is that I think there were a lot of ways to end it, and the way that it ended was, I think, there were better ways to end it to where everyone could’ve walked away with a much better feeling. After thirty two years, it feels like a lost opportunity to me and I don’t really understand it.” Johnston said. WWE reportedly cut Johnston after his latest contract with the company expired. He also discussed his past and future in the music industry during the interview.
Jinder Mahal may be a rather divisive figure on Smackdown at the moment, but one cannot deny that the Singh Brothers have greatly aided him ever since they joined his side. Sunil and Samir Singh have continued to work with Mahal well past his run as WWE Champion. Unfortunately, it has been reported that one of the brothers may have suffered an injury of some sort. Fan footage shows Samir rolling his ankle during an angle involving Mahal and Bobby Roode from last night’s Smackdown show. WWE has not commented on this matter at the moment, but we’ll be sure to update this story as more details continue to emerge.
