PSG’s Idrissa Gueye was allowed to skip quarantine rules before Trophée des Champions

As reported by L’Équipe, having tested positive for Covid after arriving in Israel for the Trophée des Champions this summer, PSG’s Senegalese international midfielder Idrissa Gueye (32) was allowed to leave the country early despite 10-day confinement and quarantine rules at the time.

After discreet negotiations with local authorities, Gueye, who was refusing to be vaccinated for religious reasons at the time, spent three days of the required 10 days in a hotel in Tel-Aviv before a private plane took him back to Paris.
