Official | SM Caen pick up goalkeeper Brice Samba

Following the expiry of his contract with Marseille, 23-year-old goalkeeper Brice Samba has completed a move to SM Caen and signs a four-year contract.

The ‘keeper, who was miraculously on the bench for all of OM’s Ligue 1 fixtures last term, struggled to find playing time with the club and thus has moved elsewhere in pursuit of action.

Samba progressed through Le Havre’s coveted youth academy and secured a €400,000 move to Marseille in 2013, but failed to receive a chance in the first-team.

The Frenchman will now aim to compete with the likes of Remy Vecoutre and Matthieu Dreyer for a starting spot at SMC – which could potentially kickstart his rather stagnated career.
