WWE NXT preview for Nov. 7, 2018: Velveteen Dream faces off against Lars Sullivan
Velveteen Dream faces off with an incensed Lars Sullivan, who seeks to send a message to NXT General Manager William Regal. Plus, Johnny Gargano promises to explain the motive behind his shocking attack on Aleister Black.
The Dream faces a nightmare
It’s going to be a nightmarish affair when Velveteen Dream takes on Lars Sullivan. NXT General Manager William Regal announced the battle after an enraged Sullivan flipped out over being excluded from the NXT Championship picture at NXT TakeOver: WarGames II. As previously reported, NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa will put his title on the line against Dream at WarGames—and The Freak has vowed to snap Dream in half and redeem his place as the rightful challenger. Can Velveteen Dream avoid a Freak Accident on the way to TakeOver: WarGames II?
Johnny Gargano promises to answer “EVERYTHING”
One question was on everyone’s mind after Johnny Gargano revealed himself to be the mystery attacker of Aleister Black: “Why, Johnny, why?!”
Gargano left the NXT Universe speechless last month when out of nowhere he superkicked Aleister Black and uttered the grief-stricken words, “I’m right here.” Since then, NXT General Manager William Regal announced a matchup between Black and Gargano for NXT TakeOver: WarGames II. But, as the mystery surrounding his motive looms, the once beloved NXT hero hopped on Twitter and promised the NXT Universe he would explain “EVERYTHING.”
What in the world could have prompted Gargano to commit such a heinous attack? Find out this Wednesday when NXT streams on WWE Network at 8/7 C.
Heavy Machinery and The Forgotten Sons collide
Prepare for the slugfest of slugfests when Heavy Machinery step up to bat against The Forgotten Sons this week.
As competition spumes within NXT’s stacked Tag Team division, two of the black-and-yellow brand’s roughest and toughest tandems board a collision course that is sure to be a jaw-dropping contest. Back in September, Otis Dozovic, joined by Tucker Knight, pulled a similar reaction from the NXT Universe when he went up against NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa in a singles match that nearly pushed the latter to his limits. The Forgotten Sons, meanwhile, have also been on an attention-grabbing tour. Whether through tag team or singles action, the band of roughnecks made a statement to the NXT Universe by bowling through every competition since their not-to-be-forgotten debut against The Street Profits. Now as both teams come to a head, all eyes will be on how far they take it to one another.
Dakota Kai meets the “Real Black Belt of NXT”
The dynamic Dakota Kai returns to action this week, taking on an esteemed competitor in Taynara Conti. Conti wowed the WWE Universe with her relentless showing in the Mae Young Classic, but will the “Real Black Belt of NXT” notch a victory over The Captain of Team Kick?
