NXT Takeover Moving Nights During WrestleMania Weekend; No Longer Competing With ROH at Madison Square Garden

NXT Takeover: New York will be moving nights during WrestleMania weekend in 2019, and as a result will no longer be going head-to-head with the highly anticipated, sold-out Supercard of Honor event at Madison Square Garden, being put on by Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Rumors began circulating on social media this weekend that NXT Takeover will instead air on Friday night ahead of WrestleMania 35, with the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony taking its place on Saturday night. “WWE will be going back to its previous WrestleMania Week schedule with NXT TakeOver on Friday, April 5 and the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday, April 6. We believe this better serves our fans.”
