No More Luxury For Ex-MPs, Given Ultimatum To Vacate Govt Bungalows In 7 Days
November 28, 2019
The former Members of Parliament who have been overstaying their government-provided bungalows in Lutyens’ Delhi, have been finally given a notice to vacate. A Lok Sabha panel has ordered them to vacate their residence within a week and disconnect their power, water and cooking gas connections within three days.
According to sources, more than 200 former MPs have still not vacated their official bungalows in Lutyens’ Delhi even two months after the dissolution of the 16th Lok Sabha.
The government accommodations were offered to them in 2014.
