Nice interested in Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Rayan Aït-Nouri
Foot Mercato are reporting that OGC Nice are targeting Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Rayan Aït-Nouri (21) as Les Aiglons step up their hunt for a new left-back
Aït-Nouri has seen his gametime at Molineux reduced so far this season, and according to Foot Mercato, things might not be getting any easier for the France U21 international. The French publication report that Julen Lopetegui is in the market for a new left-back, and is targeting Sevilla’s Marcos Acuña (31), who has recently won the World Cup with Argentina, and with whom Lopetegui has already worked during his time in La Liga.
Within this context, Nice could be set to offer Aït-Nouri a route out. The former SCO Angers full-back could be set for a return to Ligue 1 as soon as this winter. Les Aiglons’ search for a left-back is no secret, with Joe Bryan disappointing since his arrival on loan from Fulham. Nice’s priority had been to sign Empoli’s Fabiano Parisi, but that deal is looking ever less likely to succeed.
However, Nice have the finances to sign Aït-Nouri, and Wolves will not stand in the way of the player should a reasonable offer arrive.
