Names for Upcoming WWE Tryouts, Kane is Dealing With an Injury

WWE has signed several different athletes who have competed in numerous sports over the years. Just last month, the company confirmed the signings of Ricochet, Candice LeRae, War Machine, and Kacy Catanzaro just to name a few. As always though, the company is always eager to continue searching for the next batch of WWE hopefuls. New tryouts will already take place at the WWE Performance Center this week. It’s very likely that quite a few of the names on this list could be appearing on NXT regularly before you know it. With that in mind, PWInsider has provided a list of some of the names who will participate in WWE’s upcoming tryouts. The names of those individuals can be viewed down below:
Austin Theory – Current star for EVOLVE Wrestling, a promotion that WWE has had a partnership with for several years now.
Evan Cloyd – Yet another independent wrestler who currently competes in EVOLVE Wrestling under the ring name Jarek 1:20.
Nickolaus Barnes – Another independent wrestler who has primarily competed in the United Kingdom thus far.
Alexia Nicole – A Canadian indy wrestler who has been competing in Canada and Detroit since 2011.
Matt Van Buren – An MMA fighter who has fought in UFC and Bellator in the past.
David Vieru – Born in Oregon, Vieru is an impressive athlete who has played football and is also a collegiate wrestler.
Ever since Kane returned to WWE late last year, he has been featured quite heavily on Monday Night Raw. Kane was featured in the main event of the TLC event last year, he has been feuding with Braun Strowman, and he even had a shot at the Universal Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman at the Royal Rumble. Unfortunately, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Kane is currently dealing with an injury at the moment. This combined with Kane’s candidacy in the upcoming election for the Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee may keep him out for a while. Kane’s days as an in-ring competitor could be numbered if the injury worsens or if he wins the election later on this year.
