Melvin Bard signs new Lyon deal until 2024

Ligue 1 side Lyon on Wednesday announced the contract extension of 19-year-old left-back Melvin Bard, who is now tied to the club until June 2024.

The announcement is a mini coup for Lyon Sporting Director Juninho, with the player having attempted to force a move to Bayern Munich earlier on in the summer.

Since then, he has been told by Rudi Garcia that he is now 2nd in the pecking order at left-back.
