LISTEN: Cohen, Trump Discuss Payments For Playboy Model's Story
President Donald Trump and Michael Cohen are heard on tape discussing how to buy the rights to a former Playboy model’s story who said she had an affair with Trump.
In the audio, which was provided to CNN by Cohen’s lawyer, Cohen says, “I need to open up a company for the transfer of all of that info regarding our friend David, you know, so that,”
A transcript of the conversation was provided by President Donald Trump’s legal team to The Washington Post. The Post posted a version of the transcript that was edited to accurately reflect CNN’s audio. According to the Post, the transcript shows the two discussing the rights to purchase Karen McDougal’s story from American Media Inc., the parent company of the National Enquirer and “David” is AMI’s chief executive, David Pecker.

“Yeah,” Trump says.
“I’m gonna do that right away, I’ve actually come up..and I’ve spoken to Alan Weisselberg about how to set the whole thing up with..”
“So, what do we got to pay for this? One-fifty?” Trump asks, according to The Post’s transcript.
“Funding, yes,” Cohen responds. “Um, and it’s all the stuff.”
Just a little later, Cohen says, “And I spoke to Alan about it, when it comes time for the financing, which will be..”
Trump again says something that is muffled before saying, “what financing?”
“Well I’ll have to pay him something,” Cohen says.
Trump says something muffled and then “pay with cash.”
“No, no, no, no, no. I got it.” Cohen says before the recording cuts off.
