Kofi Kingston vs Randy Orton WWE Title Rematch Set for Clash of Champions

WWE has officially confirmed that Kofi Kingston will defend his WWE Championship in a rematch against Randy Orton on Sunday, September 15 at Clash of Champions.The two battled over the world title earlier this month at SummerSlam as they looked to settle a decade-old score, but there was no definitive winner as both Superstars were counted out.
In the weeks that followed, “The Viper” joined forces with Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson of The Revival, who were on a warpath against Kingston’s allies in the New Day, who just so happen to hold the Smackdown Tag Team Championships. This has led to the champs being laid out on a number of occasions, with Orton delivering an RKO to each of them last Tuesday night on Smackdown Live.
Kingston vs. Orton will join Seth Rollins vs. Braun Strowman and their battle over the Universal Championship as the marquee matches for Clash of Champions, at least where the men’s division is concerned. It’ll be an all-Horsewomen show in the women’s division, as Becky Lynch defends her Raw brand title against the returning Sasha Banks, and Bayley puts the Smackdown Women’s Championship up against Charlotte Flair.
