Juventus position themselves for Blaise Matuidi

According to today’s edition of L’Équipe, Serie A champions Juventus are positioning themselves for PSG central midfielder Blaise Matuidi as they begin to search for Paul Pogba replacements.

Matuidi at the age of 29 has confirmed to members of his entourage that he would be interested in an experience abroad.

PSG will not stand in the player’s way if he decides that an opportunity is too good to turn down. They will request between €20m and €30m in order for any interested party to complete a deal.

Chelsea are also reportedly interested in Matuidi, with Manchester United having placed the player on their shortlist in the event that they failed to sign Paul Pogba.

Juventus have yet to make any formal offer for the player, with Matuidi’s agent Mino Raiola currently on holiday in Miami.

However, Juve appear willing to match the player’s €12m a year salary at PSG and a deal could happen very quickly if Matuidi gives the go ahead.
