Johnny Gargano Injury Update, Jericho Talks Impact, Bella Twins

Johnny Gargano has been on an incredible roll lately with most of his matches in NXT being praised by fans, especially his recent NXT Takeover main events against Tommaso Ciampa. Fans were worried when it was reported that Gargano injured himself during the Last Man Standing match against Ciampa at Takeover last week, but the Wrestling Observer says that Gargano is not really injured and that the storyline is playing out exactly as intended. Triple H’s claim that Gargano may have suffered a dislocated knee during the post-Takeover Facebook interview is also said to be part of an angle. Gargano may appear on NXT with crutches very soon, but he is definitely still good to go in the ring for right now.
The thought of Chris Jericho working for a wrestling promotion other than WWE seemed unfathomable only a couple of months ago. Jericho has since started wrestling for New Japan Pro Wrestling more and more often, and he has even softened his stance on competing in other North American wrestling promotions. While speaking on the Wrestling Perspective podcast recently, Jericho told James Ellsworth and Dennis Farrell that he would absolutely be open to the idea of wrestling for Ring of Honor or Impact Wrestling, giving a simple “why not” answer. Chris Jericho still says that he remains loyal to WWE, but he has no issue wrestling elsewhere as long as their is money to be made and a great story to be told. “If its creatively satisfying, if it’s something that I can really sink my teeth into, something that I can really enjoy, then why wouldn’t I give it a try?” Jericho said.
It may have seemed a bit odd for The Bella Twins to suddenly reemerge on WWE television during Ronda Rousey’s title win at SummerSlam last weekend, but WWE is clearly in the process of reintroducing the sisters on WWE programming. Brie Bella has already been announced for a tag team match with Daniel Bryan against The Miz and Maryse at the upcoming Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. Meanwhile, Nikki Bella is still rumored to be facing Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women’s Championship at the Evolution event in October. According to Wrestling Inc., The Bellas are now being advertised for a couple of WWE live events, including one in Binghamton, New York on October 13th and in Allentown, Pennsylvania on October 14th.
