Jim Ross at WrestleMania, Takeover to Sell Out, Lesnar on Raw

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is still considered by several fans to be the greatest wrestling announcer of all time. WWE has been using him occasionally to announce their biggest matches, including last year’s WrestleMania main event match between Roman Reigns and The Undertaker. It has been a while since Jim Ross has announced for WWE, but it sounds like he will be returning to the announcer’s booth once again for this year’s WrestleMania in New Orleans. During a recent Wrestling Observer Radio appearance, Ross stated that he will be in town for the event and he is optimistic that he will be working on the show. Expect to see Good Ol’ JR back doing what he does best very soon.
Before WrestleMania takes place on April 8th, the NXT Takeover show taking place the night before promises to be real special. With matches such as Aleister Black taking on Andrade “Cien” Almas for the NXT Championship, it sounds like this show may end up being one of the highlights of WrestleMania weekend. Perhaps this is why the Wrestling Observer has reported that Takeover is about to be the first show during WrestleMania weekend this year to sell out. Tickets for Raw and Smackdown are still readily available for purchase and Smackdown tickets are even said to be moving very slowly. For anybody who wants to go to NXT Takeover, those fans may want to purchase their tickets as quickly as possible.
Brock Lesnar’s WWE status currently remains up in the air as the Universal Champion is reportedly considering leaving the company in favor of joining UFC after WrestleMania this year. WWE has acknowledged this on television now and Lesnar has “no-showed” his last two Raw appearances despite being advertised for both. Vince McMahon himself guaranteed that Lesnar will finally be on Raw this Monday night, but some fans still doubt that “The Beast Incarnate” will be used on the program this week. According to Cageside Seats, WWE is likely going to follow through on their promise to have Lesnar and his advocate Paul Heyman on the show this week.
