Jessica Murderer Manu Sharma To Stay In Jail As Panel Rejects His Plea For Early Release

Manu Sharma and Sushil Sharma, convicts in the Jessica Lall and Tandoor murder cases, respectively, will remain behind the bars after the sentence review board of Tihar Jail rejected their pleas for early release on Friday.

Sushil Sharma, then a Congress youth leader, was convicted of killing his wife, Naina Sahni, in July 1995. After murdering her, he chopped her body into pieces and tried to burn it in an oven at a popular restaurant. He was initially awarded death sentence by a trial court, which was upheld by the high court.
