X-Division Championship
TAIJI ISHIMORI (c) vs. DEZMOND XAVIER
Nice back and forth to kick things off with both excellent wrestlers looking for a positioning advantage. Dez tried for an early pinning combination but got sent to the outside, and Ishimori faked a dive to play a little mind games. Reset. They went back and forth again, each trying to one-up the other. Finally Ishimori went for a handspring cutter but got kicked right in the face for his trouble. Dez threw him to the floor and followed up with a suicide dive that sent the champion flying over the barricade and into the fans. The challenger wasn’t done, launching himself over the ropes with a crazy corkscew dive clearing the barricade.
Dez rolled them both back into the ring and connected with a cutter, but Ishimori won’t stay down. He hit a dropkick to the back of the head and tried to come off the ropes, but the champion caught him with a flash kick out of nowhere. He went up again and tried for a double foot stomp but Xavier popped up and caught him with a superkick, taking both men down.
Dez went to the top one more time looking to finally put this one away, connecting with a beautiful Final Flash corkscrew senton! 1…2… Ishimori kicked out! He couldn’t believe his finisher didn’t get the job done and followed up with a suplex and a running corkscrew moonsault. The champ caught his opponent out of nowhere with a stiff kick and planted Dez with a unique looking double underhook piledriver. Ishimori went up top, connected with a picture perfect 450 splash and picked up the win to retain.
