High tension between PSG and Collectif Ultra Paris group over Neymar return

RMC report that Ligue 1 club PSG held a meeting with the side’s main group of ultras, Collectif Ultra Paris, on Wednesday about the imminent return of Neymar into the 1st team squad an on-pitch action.

The Paris club informed the ultras that Neymar was due to make his return on Saturday in Ligue 1 against Strasbourg. The ultras responded to this news by informing the club that they intend to act hostile if this is the case, that there would likely be banner’s against Neymar. PSG clapped back strongly, insisting that no banner would be tolerated inside the Parc des Princes.

Following this refusal from Les Parisiens, tensions have risen. CUP are due to announce their decision before Saturday morning, but they are considering multiple options, including the idea of boycotting PSG’s upcoming clash with Real Madrid, their opening game of this edition of the Champions’ League Group Stage.
