Galloping through China’s oldest horse farm in spring
February 18, 2020
Thousands of horses galloped to drink around the Shandan Horse-breeding Farm in Northwest China’s Gansu province, on Monday.
The farm is in the middle of the province’s Hexi Corridor and is one of the oldest and largest horse farms in the world, covering a total area of about 2,200 square kilometers and tracing back to the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 24).
Locals have resumed work after the Lunar New Year holidays.
