Further Speakers Announced For The National Running Conference
The organisers of The National Running Conference in partnership with Running Imp have announced further high-profile names who will supporting the event on Friday 18th January 2019 at Birmingham’s NEC.
Kate Dale, Strategic Lead for Campaigns at Sport England, is an inspiring addition to the speaker line-up. Responsible for delivering This Girl Can, Sport England’s multi-award-winning campaign, feminist and former journalist Kate has helped to change the way millions of people think about exercise and physical activity – with 3.9 million women getting active as a direct result. Kate has also recently been appointed a trustee for Women’s Sport Trust, a leading UK charity focused on using the power of sport to accelerate gender equality and stimulate social change.
Kate will be joining other key leaders and forward-thinking businesses in the running world to share her insight and experiences about current and future trends in the running market at The National Running Conference in partnership with Running Imp.

Another well respected name to join the conference from the world of running is international announcer, broadcaster, presenter and event host Kris Temple. Kris will be hosting The National Running Conference in partnership with Running Imp. His most recent work includes announcing at the 2018 World Indoor Athletics Championships, the IAAF World Under 20 Championships in Finland and the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. He is a regular announcer and event presenter at mass participation running events, including the Virgin Money London Marathon and the Great Run Series. His extensive experience at events, awards ceremonies and conferences makes Kris a first-class event host for the inaugural National Running Conference in the new year.
Nick Pearson, CEO of parkrun Global Ltd, and Neil Venables, General Manager of Intersport UK & Ireland, have already been confirmed as speakers for the event next January.
The National Running Conference is a collaboration between Rebecca Richardson, MD and Founder of Breathe Unity, Joe Williams, MD and Founder of UKRunChat, Mike Seaman, MD and co-Founder of The National Running Show and Darren Pinder, Marketing Director and co-Founder of The National Running Show. Together, the four Directors have a wealth of experience in event organisation, marketing, community engagement and PR, and present unrivalled knowledge of the running industry with their many years of experience in the sector.
