Clinton: We need to eliminate Electoral College

“I think it needs to be eliminated,” Clinton said of the Electoral College during an interview on CNN. “I’d like to see us move beyond it, yes.” The former Democratic presidential nominee won the popular vote in the 2016 presidential election by nearly 3 million votes. ADVERTISEMENTBut she lost the Electoral College to President Trump. In recent days, Clinton has been doing a series of interviews to promote her new book, “What Happened.”  The book chronicles the 2016 campaign and Clinton’s election loss to Trump. President Trump late Wednesday took aim at Clinton on Twitter, saying that she puts blame on everyone but herself for her defeat. “Crooked Hillary Clinton blames everybody (and every thing) but herself for her election loss,” Trump tweeted Wednesday night. “She lost the debates and lost her direction!” Trump added that Clinton spent a lot of money but had “no game” in the end. “The ‘deplorables’ came back to haunt Hillary,” he tweeted. “They expressed their feelings loud and clear.”
