— Colt Cabana is joined on commentary by ROH World Champion Jay Lethal!

— Highlights are shown from the first round of the Sea of Honor tournament, since we don’t have time to watch 16 extra matches on this iPPV. It’s announced that Dalton Castle is “injured” and cannot compete, so ROH management has found a new replacement for him… And it’s “Smooth Sailing” Ashley Remington (it’d Dalton Castle).

SEA OF HONOR TOURNAMENT MATCH
CHRISTOPHER DANIELS vs. ‘SMOOTH SAILING’ ASHLEY REMINGTON

Remington controlled early on with some rough & tough, very physical offense. At one point he hit a modified bulldog, spinning into a Slingblade on the way down. Commentary couldn’t seem to decide whether to acknowledge him as Dalton Castle, or play along with his gimmick that he “looks like Dalton Castle”. He went for the Bang-a-Rang but Daniels struggled out of it, only to get caught with a roll-up for three. The super awkward intros for this match were about twice as long as the actual in-ring action.

Winner: “Smooth Sailing” Ashley Remington

SEA OF HONOR TOURNAMENT MATCH
FLIP GORDON vs. MARTY SCURLL

Flip debated whether or not he wanted to adhere to the Code of Honor, knowing Scurll was probably going to try to break his fingers, and ended up catching him with a huge Uranage slam, nearly stealing an early win. The two fought to the top rope battling for position. Flip knocked his opponent to the mat but Scurll came right back with a huge uppercut. Flip knocked him down yet again with a series of stiff headbutts, but again Scurll caught him with a running uppercut, and this time hit the superplex for a nearfall.

The Villain started working on the hands and arms of his opponent, stomping on the fingers and applying various holds. He started trash talking with a kid in the front row and Flip caught him with a flurry of strikes and kicks. A springboard slingblade connected and Gordon went to the top rope, connecting with the 450 splash, but it wasn’t enough to get the win.

The two beat the hell out of each other with back and forth strikes, slaps and chops. Scurll exploded out of the ropes with a giant lariat, but Gordon kicked out. Back to the strike exchange they went, over and over again. Flip ended up sneaking out a win, countering a move from Marty with a surprise roll-up to win the match. Gordon tried to shake hands after the match, but Scurll ignored him and walked off.

Winner: Flip Gordon
