China Ecological Food Exposition kicks off in Beijing
The second China Ecological Food Exposition kicked off in Beijing on Monday, gathering more than 600 exhibitors across China showcasing organic and green agricultural products.
Under the theme, “Celebrate and Enjoy the Harvest”, the exposition is being held at the National Agricultural Exhibition Center and will last until Oct 21.
Brown sugar from Southwest China’s Yunnan province, ham from neighboring Sichuan province and fish balls from East China’s Fujian province are among the special food products displayed from around China, as well as from countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative.
A section focusing on agricultural products that help alleviate poverty in Beijing, Tianjin and North China’s Hebei province attracted many visitors, as the food exhibited there was just harvested this autumn by local farmers.
