Buddy Murphy To Defend Cruiserweight Title At WWE Elimination Chamber

This week’s episode of WWE 205 Live saw a Fatal 4-Way elimination match between some of the best talent in the world, in order to crown a new #1 contender to the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.
The bout eventually saw Akira Tozawa defeat Lio Rush, divisional newcomer Humberto Carillo and former champion Cedric Alexander to earn his championship opportunity, which he will invoke at next Sunday’s WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in Houston, TX.
This will be Buddy Murphy’s four defense of his title, after winning the belt from Cedric Alexander at last October’s WWE Super Show-Down event in Australia. He has successfully defended against Mustafa Ali, Alexander, Kalisto, Hideo Itami and Tozawa himself, although the two have not yet faced off in singles competition since arriving on the main roster.
WWE Elimination Chamber takes place on Sunday, February 17th live from the Toyota Center in Houston, TX.
