Backstage Update on the Potential Seriousness of Sheamus’ Injury

As noted, WWE Raw Tag Team Champion Sheamus is currently dealing with an injury, despite his appearance and Title defense on Raw this week.
Sheamus was not on Raw last week and the absence was attributed to his annual trip to Ireland, however that does not appear to be entirely true.

The latest edition of The Wrestling Observer is reporting the Champion was given the time off as he is currently dealing with spinal stenosis. Sheamus actually revealed this news himself in a new “Celtic Warrior Workouts” video, during which he demonstrates how he helps rehab the injury while he is at home. The Observer added, however, that spinal stenosis can potentially be a very serious injury, and is one that abruptly ended the in-ring careers of WWE Hall of Famers Steve Austin and Edge.
