Archaeologists Discover A 2,000-Year-Old Body That Was Burnt By Volcanic Eruption In Italy

Pompeii, a well known archaeological site in Italy was covered in volcanic ashes nearly 2,000 years ago. However, the historical site has still a lot of memorial sites that are left to be studied by the historians.

On May 30, CBS reported that archaeologists had found the skeleton of a man whose head was crushed by a giant rock in the city. The victim’s head was missing and it was estimated that he might be a little over 30 years of age in 79 A.D. The man might have tried to escape the ‘Mount Vesuvius volcanic eruption’ which led to the burying and destruction of major Roman cities including Pompeii.
