Backstage Details On WWE Releasing Nick "Eugene" Dinsmore
February 8, 2021
Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter
WWE released Nick “Eugene” Dinsmore after he tested positive for painkillers. Apparently Dinsmore’s prescription for the medication had expired or he had no justification for the positive test. This was his second positive test as WWE sent him to rehab following his first positive test which came just days after the death of Eddie Guerrero.
When Dinsmore arrived at the September 1st SmackDown/ECW tapings in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was informed of his release, and escorted out of the US Bank Arena by security. Stephanie McMahon headed up a meeting later that night to announcement the changes to the WWE Wellness Policy.
