Ryback's Asking Price On The Indy Scene, Negotiations With NJPW
Ryback, who as we noted earlier today will be using the name “The Big Guy” on the independent scene, is reportedly charging as much as $5,000 for promoters to book him in the United States. He is reportedly charging $4,500 for most U.S. indy bookings, but is charging an extra $500 for unproven indy promoters who don’t have a reliable reputation. He is also offering special rates to promoters looking to book him on multiple dates.
While there aren’t any concrete reports regarding the former WWE Superstar being in talks with TNA right now, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that he is already pretty deep into negotiations with New Japan Pro Wrestling. The talks between the two sides have apparently reached the point that they are down to the final points of the deal, such as agreeing on the actual price and amount of dates he will be working. Meltzer noted that he could be starting with NJPW in the near future.
