Zhangjiajie a white wintry wonder after cold front

The mountaintop temperature at Zhangjiajie Tianmenshan National Forest Park, a national top-level tourist attraction in Zhangjiajie, Central China’s Hunan province, slipped to as low as to -2 C, influenced by a strong cold front, which in turn filled the air with frost and created a vast expanse of white.

Rime and flowers of frost adorned the scene, creating a crystallized landscape of natural beauty, which many tourists captured with their phones.
