The cargo onboard, mainly porcelain and a small amount of pottery and metal artifacts, were salvaged and auctioned in the global market in the 1990s. Waterside Group, a Beijing-based culture enterprise, purchased over 100,000 relics from Taixing last year. Its donation to the National Museum comprises 40 different sorts of chinaware.
