Saturday: Nantes vs PSG (16:30 GMT)

Nantes face a tough task in their bid to end a run of three consecutive losses as PSG visit the Stade de la Beaujoire on Saturday afternoon. The hosts have lost each of their last three outings by two goals to nil, against Bordeaux, Rennes and St Etienne respectively, and their fixture list doesn’t get any easier with a visit from the champions this weekend. They head into this match sitting in 17th position, although they do have a game in hand.

PSG, meanwhile, reverted back to winning ways against Guingamp in mid-week, after being held by Bordeaux and Reims recently. The visitors are currently one point clear ahead of St Etienne at the foot of the table and Laurent Blanc will be expecting his side to extend that gap to four with a victory here.

Saturday: Bordeaux vs Lyon (19:00 GMT)

Bordeaux will be aiming to bounce back from a heavy defeat in mid-week as they tackle Lyon at the Matmut Atlantique. The hosts have won only one of their first seven league games and head into this match on the back of a thumping 6-1 loss away at Nice on Wednesday. That result left Bordeaux 16th in the table and manager Willy Sagnol knows his side are under real pressure to perform this weekend.

Lyon, on the other hand, have lost just once so far this league campaign, beating Bastia 2-0 in mid-week. They currently sit fifth in the table, but manager Hubert Fournier will be aware his side need to keep their form up if they are to stay within touching distance of frontrunners PSG and St Etienne.

Saturday: Rennes vs Troyes (19:00 GMT)

Rennes will be looking to get back on the winning trial this Saturday as Troyes visit Roazhon Park. The home side have been in excellent form so far this season, losing just once, on the opening weekend. Since then, Rennes have held their own against everyone, gaining four wins and two draws. However, those two draws have both come over the last seven days, so manager Philippe Montanier will be hoping his side get back to winning ways in this one.

Troyes, though, have yet to win at all this season and head into this game on the back of three consecutive defeats. Jean-Marc Furlan’s team need to start picking up more points soon, but given the current form of Rennes, it would be a major shock if they got anything here.

Saturday: Bastia vs Toulouse (19:00 GMT)

Bastia and Toulouse meet at the Stade Armand Cesari in a match between two sides who have struggled to get going this season. The hosts started the campaign brightly, with two wins and a draw in their first three games, but have since lost their last four outings and slipped down to 15th in the table.

Toulouse, meanwhile, have won just once so far this season, beating St Etienne 2-1 on the opening weekend. Since then, Dominique Arribage’s men have lost to Caen and Rennes, whilst managing to hold the likes of Monaco and Marseille to draws. This match, however, is one that Arribage will be quietly confident his side can take all three points in.

Saturday: Caen vs Gazelec Ajaccio (19:00 GMT)

Caen will be aiming to avoid a second consecutive league defeat as struggling Gazelec Ajaccio visit the Stade Michel d’Ornano. The home side have made a decent start to the campaign, managing four wins from their first seven games, subsequently sitting seventh in the table. However, they lost their last outing, 2-0 away at Lorient, in mid-week and will be aiming to get back on track this weekend.

The visitors, on the other hand, are still awaiting their first win of the season. Gazelec Ajaccio head into this match second from bottom, with just two points to their name, but they did manage to end a five match losing streak in mid-week, as they held Rennes to an impressive 1-1 draw.
