Mamadou Sakho loses to Wolfsburg in Liverpool return

French international central defender Mamadou Sakho lost in his first quasi-competitive match since this summer’s pre-season debacle which saw Jurgen Klopp fall out with the former PSG man.

Sakho was involved in Liverpool’s U23 match with Wolfsburg, where the Premier League side lost 2-1. Sakho partnered former Bordeaux loanee Tiago Ilori at the heart of defence.
