What are the latest trends in the childrens clothing industry? Will these trends be at the exhibition?

Pitti Bimbo trends are an international event. There are maxi trends like “mini-me”, the desire of mothers and girls to share the same style, the lifestyle, the desire to bring out the style of the wardrobe and to involve other objects: furniture, toys, accessories. But the trends of the season are

• The Denim: a soft and caressing hand fabric that involves every single garment.
• The message t-shirt: games, lettering, slogans, ironic to wear.
• Athletic wear: high-performance fabrics that involve everyday wardrobe.
• Garden Style: oversized and florals
• The Pink: bubble gum pink is the hottest color of the summer

What news have you prepared for the 2018 edition? What are the highlights?

The theme of Pitti Bimbo 87 is P.O.P. PITTI OPTICAL POWER, will be a visual and virtual celebration presenting a new way of experiencing the event at the Fortezza da Basso. A special area just made for sharing will be an absolute first at this edition. The new bar/lounge decorated in optical Technicolor will make the Pitti experience even more enjoyable for exhibitors and visitors alike. The settings conceived and designed by life-styler Sergio Colantuoni promises all this and much more. The highlights of this edition: launches, special projects and returns. Bikkenbergs, Dondup, GCDS, Alberta Ferretti, Philosophy, Daniele Alessandrini, Paciotti 4 Us, Dsquared2, Custo Barcellona, Philosophy collection by Lorenzo Serafini, the collective of Spanish brandS, CHILDREN’S FASHION FROM SPAIN: Abel & Lula, Amaya, Boboli, Foque, Mayoral, Tartaleta, Tuc Tuc.

What are the advantages of exhibiting at Pitti Immagine Bimbo 2018?

Pitti Immagine Bimbo is the leading international fair dedicated to children’s fashion and lifestyles. A trend platform whose buzzwords are research and across-the-board proposals, Pitti Bimbo continues to look towards the latest market demands, distributing its offering according to a complete and well-articulate geography designed for the top concept stores, department stores, boutiques and the most authoritative e-commerce sites.

 

Can you give us some tips to for visiting this event?

A full calendar for the days of Pitti Bimbo: fashion shows, events, meetings, conferences, opportunities for comparison and reflection, but also moments of entertainment. In the Fortezza, in addition to the catwalk reserved for the brand of Children’s Fashion from Spain, a performance of the names of #ACTIVELAB, the parade of the luxury collections of APARTMENT and the presentation of some brands of the KidzFIZZ team. The Special Night fashion shows of the brand are: “Monnalisa” signs a Garden Party in the splendid Torrigiani gardens, romantic corners for a collection full of blooms “DSquared2”: an exciting party celebrates the five years of the baby line and the birth of a new collection.

 

How to apply to exhibit or attend?

This is a B2B fair, only for operators of the sector. To exhibit people must submit an application, a committee will analyze the application, decide if the requirements are met, buyers can buy the ticket by downloading the application.

 

Lastly, can you give us some participation results from the last edition?

The feedback from Pitti Bimbo 86 was positive for international junior fashion. Some of the most important international children’s fashion buyers came to the Fortezza da Basso eager to learn more about the new ideas presented by the 578 brands showcased at this edition, 347 of which were from abroad, 146 new names and returns, over 5300 buyers for a total of 10,000 visitors at the last summer edition: these are the figures for Pitti Immagine Bimbo 87, the key international fair for the kids’ hemisphere.
