Patrick Vieira: “This is an unacceptable performance for an ambitious side.”

Speaking after a shock defeat to struggling Ligue 2 side Le Mans in the Coupe de la Ligue last night, in a game that ended 3-2, OGC Nice boss Patrick Vieira let loose on his players.

“Gobsmacked, disappointed, annoyed, it is an unacceptable performance for an ambitious club. We had a catastrophic 1st half in every capacity and I struggled to deal with it. I am very disappointed that the journey (in this competition) stops because we wanted to do well in this cup. I think that this was evident with the team that I put out and that completely flopped in this match which is a huge disappointment.”
