Negotiations between Lille & Flamengo continue for Thiago Maia loan

L’Équipe report that negotiations are continuing between Ligue 1 side Lille and Brazilian outfit Flamengo about a loan with option to buy deal for 22-year-old Brazilian midfielder Thiago Maia.

Talks are at an advanced stage, but work still needs to be done on the size of the option to buy. LOSC want it to be at least €14m, which is what they paid for the player.

Belgian side Charleroi have also made a proposal for Maia, who is additionally attracting interest from Genoa in Italy.

As part of the negotiations with the Brazilian side, which is Maia’s preferred destination, LOSC could retain 50% of the economic rights of the player, even if the option to buy is activated in a deal with Flamengo.
