13,000 People Killed In Building Collapse In Just 5 Years, Seven Structures Fall Everyday In India

Between 2010 and 2014, a total of 13,178 people lost their lives in accidents where structures whether the building or the flyovers or any other structure have fallen. A building collapsed in Mumbai yesterday and till now 14 people have lost their lives and one building had collapsed in Solan in Himachal Pradesh in which 14 people lost their lives. The rescue operation in Mumbai is still underway.

Seven incident of structures collapse happen every day.

Going by the data between 2010 and 2014 where as many as 13,178 people lost their lives due to collapse of various structures which accounts for 13, 473 such incidents and this accounts for seven such incidents every day in which the same number of people lose their lives for no fault of theirs.
